Colorado 14ers - Tabeguache Peak
This is a 360° panorama from the summit of Tabeguache Peak. Tabeguache Peak (pronounced tab-uh-wash) is located in the south-central part of the Sawatch Range. Tabeguache Peak stands at 14,162 ft just shy of its south east neighbor peak, Mount Shavano at 14,229 ft. In this panorama you can see Mt.Antero in the left center with Mt. Yale, Mt Princeton, Mt. Harvard in the distance. To the right in the forefront stands Mt. Shavano.

Peppers
The inspiration for this shoot was to show the dimensions of a pepper, especially in chopped form. This came to me out of no where besides that I had been wanting to make a three egg omelette with chopped peppers. I used one yellow, one red, and one green (jalapeno).
This specific lighting technique was executed using one of my favorite windows in the kitchen, a white foam core board for fill light and my 35mm and 60mm lens, respectively.
I'm happy the way these turned out so I decided to share. Enjoy.

Rainy nights and reflective lights
The weather in Colorado has been overcast with a lot of rain for days, which is rare. It feels like I am living in a different state, I miss my sunshine and I'm probably low on vitamin d. I saw this as a fine opportunity to make some interesting photographs. The old saying is true, every things better when wet. The glowing city lights shine bright on the wet surroundings. Water has a great reflective property that adds life into those otherwise dark and relatively boring surfaces.
I love the circular uniform pattern of out of focus spectral highlights. The Japanese word for this is "bokeh" and each lens does it a little bit differently. The abstract quality of it gives me the feeling of floating in space.

Twine?! Photoshoot
Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the band Twine?!. Twine?! is a talented forthcoming local band that brings their unique style to the stage and the photoshoot. Their next show is April 1st at the Oriental Theater. I had a blast photographing these guys, shout out to band members: Ben White, Jake Thorne, Sam Mitchell, and Michael Vargas.
Here's some images from the shoot as well as a little behind the scenes action.
